Christine Bain is the creative director of Bainwave Productions, which
she founded in 1992.
Christine's company has written three musicals, ‘The
Old Woman Who Lived in A Shoe’, ‘Child
of the Night’, and ‘Spellbound’,
and produced jingles for a wide range of clients,
music for films, documentaries, videos, demo songs
for singers and other occasions, backing music,
notation and school workshops. She has
also written a children’s book from The Old
Woman Who Lived in A Shoe musical.
“We try to add a special
and personal touch to a wedding – a song meant only for the
bride and groom, which they will have with them forever,”
Christine said. “Or
a song to cheer up a friend in hospital, or to celebrate the birth
of a baby. We also write songs for singers who need original material.”
Awards
Masters of Music
Christine received her Masters of Music from QUT in 2003, with her major
focus on composition. She was told by her examiners that she had set a
new benchmark of excellence for future Masters students.
Telstra/Alcatel Young Achiever Business Woman of the Year
Christine was a finalist in the 2000 Telstra/Alcatel Young Achiever Business
Woman of the Year awards, after winning her way to the finals. The awards
recognised business and community achievements, and Christine was in the
30 and under category in the final group of three. She was nominated for
the award for excelling in her business pursuits, career and musical interests.
