The Children's Book

While the focus of Bainwave Productions is on musical production, the company has also been involved in the production of the children’s book, ‘The Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe’, which has also been written by Christine Bain, following her successful children's pantomime. The illustrations are bright and colourful, and the story action packed and fun filled, with a positive message. It has received acclaim from children everywhere.

Synopsis

The Old Woman lives on a farm in a far away land with her large brood of 25 children. Her eldest child Tom is an outcast, who finds love and acceptance in the arms of the fairy princess Sparkle. Together with their farmyard friends, Dewdrop the cow and Gustoffason the goose, they must save Tom’s family and bring peace to the land.

The Illustrator

Connie Fleming has extensively traveled the world and has lived in Canada, the U.S.A and Australia. She is a talented illustrator, and makes her home in the U.S.A, running her own graphic design company, ‘Shoe Dweller Designs.’
