“In all my musicals, I have
the message, sometimes overstated, sometimes more subtle, that if people
believe in themselves, they can achieve anything. That is how I try to
live my life.....” |
The MusicalsChristine Bain is one of Australia’s up and coming musical theatre composers in a very specialised field, as it involves the composition of a strong storyline, plot development, lyrics and two albums of songs in a variety of styles. Christine has excelled in this genre because it combines her two loves – music and her journalism background. She has been described as Australia’s Andrew Lloyd Webber (Lindsay Wright, ABC broadcaster) with her major influences Andrew Lloyd Webber, Claude-Michel Schonberg, Hammerstein and Rodgers, Stephen Schwartz, Stephen Sondheim and Gilbert and Sullivan. Christine has a strong belief in sending a positive message to her audience and leading by example. “In all my musicals, I have the message, sometimes overstated, sometimes more subtle, that if people believe in themselves, they can achieve anything. That is how I try to live my life.” Christine, through Bainwave Productions, has produced several successful musicals including ‘Spellbound’ the stage spectacular, ‘Child of the Night’ and the children’s pantomine, ‘The Old Woman Who Lived In A Shoe.’ Please view/listen to audio/video samples. All musicals are available for performance by theatre companies, at current industry prices.
